Lesson Objectives - Students will finish their text-based response quiz from "My Friend Douglass." They will then practice the effective methods of using quotations when writing dialogue and documenting the words of others.  Students will begin reading "Harriet Tubman: Conductor of the Underground Railroad" and will determine if she will be included in their upcoming Performance Task.
Homework - Students should continue reading their Reader Response book for February.

  • CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RI.8.3 - Analyze how a text makes connections among and distinctions between individuals, ideas, or events (e.g., through comparisons, analogies, or categories).
