Parents and Guardians - There are only 3 more weeks of school! Please stress the importance of finishing the year on a positive note. Be sure to check grades on Home Access Center and ask your child for the Student Detail Reports that I will send home after grading each major assignment.
Lesson Objectives - Students will be able to identify examples of the author's use of dialect. They will then begin to prepare their presentations that will explain the story from the prespective of the antagonist.
Homework - The May RRS is due this Friday! It is the last one of the school year.

Achieve 3000
You will have to work on two articles in Achieve 3000 every week on your own. You can do this at home or during class once you have completed your assignment.
There what you do....
- Log in to A3000
- Click on the assigned article. You may have to scroll to find it.
- Complete the "Before Reading Poll" first
- Read the "Thought Question," but but don't answer it until you have finished reading the article
- Click on "Article" and read it
- Go back and complete the "Thought Question," then move on to the "Activity"
- Check the Important Due Dates above to see when the assignment is due

- The 2017-2018 school year is Mr. Swain's 20th year at Conrad as a teacher. During this time, he has seen many positive changes with the Conrad facilities and programs. Mr. Swain completed his master's degree in educational technology and is looking forward to using these skills in the classroom.
