Lesson Objectives - Students will take their quiz for Vocabulary Unit 2.  They will finalize their analysis of their own survey findings from last week.  Students will then begin the next story, "The Latehomecomer," where they will analyze the author's use of simile, metaphor, and sensory details.
Homework - Students are to begin looking for their book for October's RRS.

  • CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.8.4 - Determine the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in a text, including figurative and connotative meanings; analyze the impact of specific word choices on meaning and tone, including analogies or allusions to other texts.
