Lesson Objectives - Using a quickwrite activity. students will develop and explain a brief explanation of their thoughts concerning pride and arrogance.  They will then apply these ideas to the myth, "Arachne."  Students will then identify examples of adjectives and other samples of descriptive language that invoke visual details. 
Homework - Students are to bring home the purchase form for the Vocabulary book.  This form and the $9.00 to pay for the book are due by October 25th.  Students should also continue working on October's RRS.

  • CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.7.1 Cite several pieces of textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text.
