Lesson Objectives - Students will present and evaluate last week's project in a "gallery walk" format.  They will then prepare for the reading of the next sample by making a personal connection to the main themes.  Students will also identify the elements that make up the narrative structure.

Homework - Students are to make corrections and get their Vocabulary Unit 2 quiz signed by a parent of guardian.

CCSS -
  • CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.7.1 Cite several pieces of textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text.
  • CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.7.2 Determine a theme or central idea of a text and analyze its development over the course of the text; provide an objective summary of the text.
