Parents, Guardians, and Students: Happy New Year and welcome back!  I hope everyone is rested and ready to finish off the second marking period.  We only have 3 weeks, so make sure you hit the ground running as you return to the regular schedule.  There is plenty of time to bring your grades up!

8th Grade

Lesson Objectives - Students will examine examples of poetry and their uses of simile, metaphor, and sensory details.
Homework - Explain in a paragraph how natural objects can influence your mood.  Use sensory details in your description.

7th Grade

Lesson Objectives -With the help of their new story "What Do Fish Have to Do With Anything?," students will be able to use details to draw conclusions about character personality traits.
Homework - Paragraph Response: Describe a situation where you got into an argument with a parent....and YOU were right!
