Lesson Objectives - Students will evaluate student writing samples of personal narratives using the same rubric they will be evaluated with when they submit their own essays next week.  They will then begin working on their own for their Performance Task.
  • Today: Students will brainstorm and organize their information.  They will begin writing their rough drafts.
  • Tomorrow: Students will finish writing their rough drafts and begin the peer editing process.
  • Monday and Tuesday: Students will make final edits and write their final drafts.
Homework -  Students will make sure that pages 2-5 and the sub packet from yesterday is complete and ready to be submitted on Tuesday, November 25th.

  • CCSS.ELA-Literacy.W.7.3.d: Use precise words and phrases, relevant descriptive details, and sensory language to capture the action and convey experiences and events.
  • CCSS.ELA-Literacy.W.7.3.e: Provide a conclusion that follows from and reflects on the narrated experiences or events.
