Lesson Objectives - Students will create their Graphic Representations for the Vocabulary Unit 13 words.  They will then build understanding of the upcoming Collection 5 by participating in a Level Up Tutorial about dramatic elements since we will be covering a version of "The Diary of Anne Frank."  They will also view two short historical documentaries on the Holocaust and discuss its relevance today.  After this, students will begin to read a dramatized version of events found in Anne Frank's diary.
Homework - Students will continue reading their book for April's Reader Response Sheet.

  • CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.8.3 - Analyze how particular lines of dialogue or incidents in a story or drama propel the action, reveal aspects of a character, or provoke a decision.
