Lesson Objectives - After some more work in Vocabulary Unit 11, students will select one of the following assignments to complete and present to the class:
  • A magazine article that profiles one of the main characters in the story
  • An newspaper editorial that states an opinion on one of the story's main ideas
  • A post-fight interview script that where the main characters share their thoughts.
  • A scripted victory speech that the winner might give after the match
Homework - Students will answer the following in a paragraph response: "Imagine that one of the boys had won the boxing match by a knockout.  What effect do you think that might have had on their friendship?"
