Lesson Objectives - Students will continue with "Flowers for Algernon."  They will then make inferences based on the information provided by the author.  Students will also use characterization techniques to document the changes the main character undergoes over the course of the story.
Homework - In a paragraph, answer the following: Do you think that the think that the procedure that Charlie underwent is an ethical one?

7th Grade

Lesson Objectives - Students will present their interpretations of "The War of the Wall" if it was narrated by the Painter Lady.  Students will examine how the story's theme changes with a shift in perspective.  They will then practice the effective use of pronouns and their antecedents.
Homework - Interview Question: Why do some people treat outsiders differently?
