Lesson Objectives - Students will begin their final Vocabulary Unit with their word sort.  They will then examine the literary conventions found in poetry.  After examining a few guided examples, students will then apply these ideas to poetry samples from the texts in small groups.
Homework - Students are to get their MP4 Interim Student Detail Reports signed by tomorrow.  They should also continue reading their book for the May RRS, due May 28th.

  • CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.8.5 - Compare and contrast the structure of two or more texts and analyze how the differing structure of each text contributes to its meaning and style.
