Welcome back! Don't worry, this week will be pretty easy as we cover the basics: course outline, behavior policies, etc. We'll get into the real curriculum stuff next week.
Lesson Objectives - After completing a brief survey, students will see how they will be graded this year via the course outline.
Homework - If everything is working, I'll be able to copy out the course outline for students to bring home. Parents and guardians are to sign the bottom and return it. Please keep the top portion at home!

- TOMORROW! - INSERVICE, NO SCHOOL!
- Friday, September 7th - Return the signed course outline form
- Monday, September 10th - NO SCHOOL!
- Wednesday, September 19th - NO SCHOOL!
- Friday, September 28th - Reader Response Packet is due
Achieve 3000
You will have to work on two articles in Achieve 3000 every week on your own. You can do this at home or during class once you have completed your assignment.
There what you do....
- Log in to A3000
- Click on the assigned article. You may have to scroll to find it.
- Complete the "Before Reading Poll" first
- Read the "Thought Question," but but don't answer it until you have finished reading the article
- Click on "Article" and read it
- Go back and complete the "Thought Question," then move on to the "Activity"
- Check the Important Due Dates above to see when the assignment is due

- The 2017-2018 school year is Mr. Swain's 20th year at Conrad as a teacher. During this time, he has seen many positive changes with the Conrad facilities and programs. Mr. Swain completed his master's degree in educational technology and is looking forward to using these skills in the classroom.
