Lesson Objectives - Students will read a non-fiction article that demonstrates the use of fact, opinion, and generalizations. They will identify examples of each which will help them in the upcoming DCAS assessments. They will then continue the presentations that they started yesterday.
Homework - Students should prepare for tomorrow's test on "The Noble Experiment." For additional homework credit, answer the following on a one-page essay with a introductory paragraph: "Who is your hero? Why?"

You will have to work on two articles in Achieve 3000 every week on your own. You can do this at home or during class once you have completed your assignment.
There what you do....
- Log in to A3000
- Click on the assigned article. You may have to scroll to find it.
- Complete the "Before Reading Poll" first
- Read the "Thought Question," but but don't answer it until you have finished reading the article
- Click on "Article" and read it
- Go back and complete the "Thought Question," then move on to the "Activity"
- Check the Important Due Dates above to see when the assignment is due

- The 2017-2018 school year is Mr. Swain's 20th year at Conrad as a teacher. During this time, he has seen many positive changes with the Conrad facilities and programs. Mr. Swain completed his master's degree in educational technology and is looking forward to using these skills in the classroom.
