Parents & Guardians: I apologize for the delay in creating new posts over the last couple of days. Since there were some technical difficulties that arose from the posting of the coded state standards, I will have to continue with my previous format.

In other news, please keep checking the grades on HAC!  This is the time of year where students are distracted from their deadlines.  I will send home a Student Detail Report every time I enter a major grade into the system.  Let's finish the calendar year on a positive note!

8th Grade
Lesson Objectives - Students will start their new story, "The Million-Pound Bank Note." They will analyze the structure of the script format and its use of stage directions.
Homework - Interview Question: Why do you think that many major lottery winners are in debt after only a few years? Explain with details.

7th Grade
Lesson Objectives - Students will continue their study of O. Henry's "After Twenty Years."  They will then examine foreshadowing as a literary device.  Students will then provide examples of foreshadowing from previous stories we have analyzed over the year.
Homework - Students are to complete quiz and test corrections for additional credit.
