8th Grade

Lesson Objectives - Students will examine the story "The Great Rat Hunt" from a different perspective.  With this shift in point of view, students are to construct a new author's purpose.  They will present their works to the rest of the class.

Homework - Aside from working on their memoir assignment, students are to have a parent sign the Student Detail Report.

7th Grade

Lesson Objectives - Students will be able to determine whether certain actions in the story help to advance the plot.  They will then be able to choose one of two writing assignments which require the student to apply new ideas to the material that we have read together.
Homework - Students are to have a parent sign the Student Detail Report.
